Vacuum Honey Filtration Significantly Increases Filtration Capacity

The vacuum filtration set is designed for fine honey filtration directly beneath the honey extractor, as its total height is only 40 cm.

The set consists of a 30 kg stainless steel container with a large honey gate, a vacuum lid with a fine filter, and a hose connection for connecting a vacuum pump.

For vacuum filtration, it is essential that the filter is hermetically sealed to the container. By using a vacuum pump (not included), a vacuum is created inside the container, which draws the honey through the filter and significantly increases the filtration capacity.
A sight glass is integrated into the container, allowing the honey level inside the vessel to be monitored.

Once the container is full, it can be lifted and the finely filtered honey drained through the honey gate. The large 54 mm outlet valve ensures fast emptying and also allows direct filling into jars.

For best results, we recommend filtering liquid honey that has already been coarsely strained. An optional coarse filter is available to retain larger particles.
The vacuum lid also allows the standard fine filter (0.71 mm mesh opening) to be replaced with an extra-fine filter (0.315 mm mesh opening), which retains tiny crystals and very fine particles. Removing these crystals considerably delays honey crystallization, reducing the need for repeated heating and decrystallization. When using the extra-fine filter, the honey should have a lower viscosity, i.e. it should be warmed before filtration.
