The strainer tank is primarily designed for straining honey during the extraction process.

The strainer tank has two welded stainless steel drain taps that effectively separate the honey. The upper drain tap is used to transfer the strained honey into a lower tank, while the lower one serves for the final discharge of honey from the tank. The tank is equipped with a coarse and a fine straining mesh, both mounted vertically, which can be removed for cleaning.


HONEY STRAINING PROCEDURE:


Place the straining tank under the drain tap of the extractor. The lower drain tap must remain closed during honey straining. The honey level in the tank rises to the height of the upper drain tap and then flows into the bucket placed below. A full straining tank allows for continuous straining. As the honey flows into the strainer tank, wax residues in the honey rise to the top, where you must skim them off periodically. Empty the tank completely through the lower drain valve.

For straining thick honeys, we recommend placing a honey heater (e.g., item 7101) in the tank and heating the honey to 40°C, which allows for faster straining. Once the honey has been strained, simply remove the mesh from the tank and clean it.

The strainer tank can also be used for filling jars with honey, as the drain spout cuts the honey very cleanly, and for storing honey (a lid is included).
