TANGENTIAL EXTRACTORS
LOGAR® tangential honey extractors are designed primarily for hobby beekeepers. They are of high quality, produced on site, and made of materials suitable for contact with honey. They are completely easy to use and guarantee the beekeeper a long-term use.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
The honeycombs are placed tangentially (parallel) to the barrel when the honey is extracted. The centrifugal force draws the honey from the side of the honeycomb that is facing the barrel. Once the honey has been extracted on one side, the frame must be turned on the other side for honey to be extracted there. You can choose between extractors with a central axle – the frames must be taken out of the barrel to be turned to the other side, or without a central axle – the frames can be turned to the other side in the barrel.

Tangential extractors are available for 3 or 4 frames and in two drive versions:
-    manual: one-way hand drive with a bracket allows the basket to rotate to the right, while turning the handle in the opposite direction simply stops the basket rotation. It is possible to later upgrade these extractors to a motor drive when needed.
-    motor-driven: the user can adjust the direction and speed of rotation during extracting.
A reliable electric motor with a variable speed control lever allows you to set the speed from 0 - 280 rpm, left or right. The motor-driven extractors have a built-in safety switch that stops the motor if the front lid of the extractor is opened.

Features:
-    welded stainless tap is built in at the lowest point so that all honey can drain out of the extractor,
-    transparent acrylic glass lids allow you to observe the process of extraction,
-    different types of tangential extractors available: with different baskets to suit different numbers and sizes of honeycomb frames. The beekeeper should choose an extractor, that is adapted to the size of the frames he uses, to achieve an optimal extraction process. Tangential baskets are made of upright wires of the appropriate density and the baskets can be removed from the extractor for easier cleaning.

NEW in the tangential extractors range: the new innovative extractors with strainer tanks.
