Top feeder for Langstroth hives with two compartments for simultaneous feeding with liquid and solid food Feeder dimensions: 50.5 x 41.5 x 6 cm Both compartments are suitable for all types of feed due to pre-designed holes and special plugs provided with the feeder. This allows you to offer pollen substitute along with sugar syrup or candy simultaneously. Alternatively, both compartments can be filled with sugar syrup only. The compartments hold 4 kg and 3 kg of sugar syrup respectively. When inserting candy, a hole is cut into the bag to cover the opening at the bottom of the feeder. The candy bag must be inserted in such a way that bees cannot escape from the bag into the feeder or into the other compartment containing liquid food. The feeder is internally and underneath divided into six independent sections, allowing separate feeding of multiple colonies within the same hive without contact between them. This is ideal for queen rearing and creating new colonies in the spring. It provides insulation for the hive interior in both cold and warm weather. Bees are not disturbed when filling the feeder, as they are completely separated by partitions – perfect for quick feeding. The feeder fits into the hive cover and increases the height of the hive by only a few millimeters. The hive cover must be 6 cm deep to rest on the outer edge of the feeder. Ventilation holes allow moisture to escape from the hive. Requires no maintenance. Made from high-quality, food-grade polypropylene.
