Bee hive 10 frames AZ with Varroa mite screen

The beehive body is made of thermally treated spruce and fir wood, reinforced with metal corner brackets. The double front side with air insulation is made of pine wood, which is highly resistant to weather conditions (high humidity and strong summer temperatures). The inspection window and feeder are fixed with a beech crossbar and PVC screws.

To ensure a long service life of the hive, proper protection against weather conditions is required.

The hive includes:
• 20 linden wood finger-jointed AŽ frames, dimensions 260 × 410 mm, vertically drilled
• one queen excluder across the full width
• one feeder made of 4 mm waterproof plywood
• removable testing grid made of aluminum sheet

Instructions for protecting beehives:
1. Protection of the front panel:
– The front panel must be coated with impregnating oil, e.g. linseed oil.
– Afterwards, it should be painted with a water-based paint suitable for beehive protection.
2. Protection of the remaining hive parts:
– Coat all wooden surfaces with a protective coating (impregnation or wood stain) intended for outdoor use.
– Use coatings that are harmless to bees.
3. Drying:
– After each protective coating application, the hive should dry thoroughly (recommended at least 24 hours).
4. Placement:
– Hives should be placed in a dry and ventilated environment, protected from direct rain and prolonged moisture exposure.
5. Maintenance:
– Annual inspection of the protective coating is recommended, with renewal if necessary.
