The electrical conductivity of honey depends on the concentration of mineral substances, organic acids, proteins, and sugars. This parameter provides information about the quality and possible adulteration of honey. Furthermore, among all physico-chemical analyses, electrical conductivity is the most useful method for determining honey types, especially for distinguishing between nectar honey and honeydew honey.
The conductometer has a replaceable sensor and many useful features, such as dual-range measurement, a Hold function, automatic temperature compensation, and the ability to display self-diagnostic messages.
