Table-top Bee bread harvester

Honeycombs with bee bread have to prepared in advance. Honey has to be completely extracted out of the frames and then return them in a hive if necessary (honeycombs should not be filled with any honey). Break the combs by hand in pieces of maximum width of 85 mm (don’t use a knife) and freeze them over night to -18° C for at least 16h. Immediately after taking the honeycombs out of the freezer release them into the harvester. The pieces have to remain frozen at all times. When frozen wax is breakable, while bee bread remains solid and keeps its form.

Prior to packaging bee bread has to be dried completely. It should be dried for 2-3 days at 42 or 43°C If you won’t dry it, it should be placed back in the freezer
