Instructions for protecting bee hives: Protecting the front face: – The front face should be coated with an impregnation oil, such as linseed oil. – After that, it should be painted with a water-based paint suitable for protecting bee hives. Protecting the rest of the hive: – Apply a protective finish (impregnation or wood stain) for external use on all wooden surfaces. – Use bee-safe coatings only. Drying: – After each application of protection, allow the hive to dry thoroughly (recommended at least 24 hours). Placement: – Hives should be placed in a dry, ventilated environment, protected from direct rain and prolonged moisture. Maintenance: – An annual inspection of the protective coating is recommended, with re-application if needed.
